Our work depends on a **Combat System Networks Engineer** joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities. At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a **Combat System Networks Engineer** supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the Aegis Command Decision (C&D) and Aegis Display System (ADS) are operational and available. **Specific responsibilities include:** + Receives direction and executes to ensure the AEGIS Tactical Local Area Network (LAN) is operational and available. + Reports to the Network Systems Engineering Lead and coordinates with the CSPE, O&M Lead, Test Coordinator and Test Director for Tactical LAN Test related matters; and Tactical LAN equipment suites, setup configurations, equipment interfaces and data extraction requirements. + Proper operation of the Tactical LAN computing environment including OE, configuration and computer program operation and interface with other elements. + Serve as the Tactical LAN Network Administrator and AWS System Administrator. + Support resolution of Tactical LAN equipment and computer program issues. + Analyze test results and findings as necessary for the functional tests involving the Tactical LAN. + Support engineering for the interfaces and capabilities and limitations. + Prepare for computer program and/or equipment changes as necessary to support ship test and integration program planning. + Support analysis of pre-availability baseline test packages and resolve discrepancies. + Review ICDs, SIDs and LARs relating to LAN. + Review existing test procedures and recommend changes. + Interface with equipment In-Service Engineering Agencies (ISEA), and Software Support Activities (SSA) as required in preparation for tests. + Identify necessary special recording devices, special instrumentation, and data collection media that will be required to support the tests. + Identify all Special Test Equipment required and ensure plan is in place to have on site and calibrated as required to meet test scheduled execution. **WHAT YOU'LL NEED:** + A Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in the relevant field and 10+ years of experience in command and control engineering or related experience (or 15+ years of experience without a degree). + A US DoD Secret security clearance is required. + Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector. + U.S. Citizenship is required. \#navyacs **GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:** + Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home + 401K with company match + Comprehensive health and wellness packages + Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career + Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications + Cutting-edge technology you can learn from + Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays The likely salary range for this position is $90,495 - $122,435. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
