We want to reward your skills with a $5,000 sign-on bonus when you join our team as an Automotive Parts Counter Associate at our trusted Chevrolet dealership in the DMV. Key Responsibilities: * Customer Service & Sales Support:

  • Greet customers and assist with identifying and sourcing the correct automotive parts for repairs, maintenance, or upgrades.
  • Provide expert advice on part compatibility, pricing, and availability.
  • Answer customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person and provide professional recommendations.
  • Upsell and cross-sell parts and accessories where appropriate.
* Order Processing & Fulfillment:
  • Accurately process parts orders from walk-in customers, phone calls, and online orders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, including pulling parts, preparing invoices, and handling returns and exchanges.
  • Coordinate special orders or back-ordered parts with suppliers and update customers on the status.
* Inventory Management:
  • Maintain a well-organized, stocked, and clean parts counter.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking new parts, verifying accuracy, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and assisted with parts inventory replenishment as needed.
  • Monitor parts inventory levels and advise management on reordering needs.
* Technical Support:
  • Utilize parts catalogs, computer systems, and databases to search for and identify parts and verify part numbers and descriptions.
  • Stay informed about the latest automotive parts, tools, and industry developments.
  • Provide customers with advice on installation and troubleshooting of automotive parts.
* Parts Identification:
  • Identify and recommend appropriate replacement parts for various vehicles, including domestic, foreign, and aftermarket options.
  • Ensure proper documentation for each sale, including warranty information and installation guidance.
* Communication & Coordination:
  • Collaborate with the service and repair departments to ensure parts availability for vehicle repairs.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure accurate order fulfillment and address any discrepancies or issues with parts.
  • Assist with arranging special orders and returns as needed.
* Sales Targets & Customer Satisfaction:
  • Meet or exceed individual and department sales goals.
  • Provide high customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Handle customer complaints and issues professionally and efficiently.
Qualifications:
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; certification in automotive technology or related fields is preferred.
  • Must be 18 or older and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience: Experience in automotive parts sales or a similar customer service role is preferred. Five years minimum dealership experience, including Reynolds and Reynolds.
* Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and terminology.
  • Ability to use automotive parts catalogs and software systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system proficiency.
  • Being bilingual is a plus!
* Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry parts up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a warehouse environment.
Work Environment:
  • This position involves working at the parts counter of an automotive service center or parts store.
  • The fast-paced environment requires multitasking and dealing with a high volume of customer inquiries.
