Automotive Lube Technician Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Automotive Lube Technician to join our service team. In this role, you'll perform essential preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and vehicle lubrication. This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic who is looking to grow their automotive career in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesComplete oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements efficiently and accurately
Perform inspections and basic maintenance according to factory and dealership standards
Communicate with service advisors and parts department to ensure timely repairs
Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used
Maintain cleanliness of shop and customer vehicles
Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations
Participate in ongoing training programs to stay up to date with manufacturer standards
Assist in identifying vehicle issues and recommend needed services
Notify service advisors of any changes in vehicle condition
Other related duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
Ability to use hand tools and shop equipment safely
Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
Valid driver's license (preferred)
No prior experience required for entry-level candidates
Experience in a shop environment or automotive training is a plus
Enrollment or completion of an automotive tech program preferred

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
Will work in a busy, fast-paced shop environment
Must be able to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
