Hooks Meng & Clement (HMC) is looking for an Associate Attorney to join our growing Carson City office, specializing in Industrial Litigation, representing a diverse clientele, including employers, insurers, and third-party administrators. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in court and before government agencies. • Draft legal documents and correspondence, as well as conduct thorough legal research. • Be able to work collaboratively on a team, but also independently. • Must be able to meet or exceed monthly billing requirements using the electronic billing system (Clio). • Strategize and plan meticulously with and for clients, ensuring attention to detail in all cases. • Daily use of our electronic case management system (Filevine) to keep files updated and organized. • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, not just representation. • Paying attention to the industry trends and developments. • Staying updated on Nevada statutes and regulations. Qualifications: • State Bar of Nevada member in good standing. • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Adaptable, flexible, and dependable. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail. • Daily use of an electronic case management (Filevine) and billing system (Clio). • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment on multiple cases and with multiple deadlines. • Must be based in the Northern Nevada area as this is an in-office position. • Ability to bring A-Game Daily!
